Giveaway Cheater Exposed? Mr. Z Exposes Himself And Comes Up With An Explanation

I am sorry that took me so long to follow up with my previous post on this issue, but I also have other websites to take care of…

As you can see in the title of this post, MR. Z exposed himself by posting 2 comments on my previous post. Just go to that page and scroll down to the comments area.

So, there is no mystery anymore, Mr. Z is in reality Mr. Zech Smith… To make things more clear, the other name I was talking about, Mr. V, is Mr. Joseph Vanderpool… If you are a regular contributor in several giveaway events, I am pretty sure that you have seen these 2 names in the leaderboard…

I need to clarify something: when I have posted that story, I had some good reasons to do so… Here are my reasons:

1. Mr. Zech Smith has cheated before by adding people as contributors after the launch… And you don’t have to take my word for that; Mr. Smith himself admitted that in a support ticket posted on my support desk…

Take a look:

2. I have noted the other name, Mr. V (aka Mr. Joseph Vanderpool): he (almost) always has a single upgraded referral… I checked the stats of my previous events and I learned that his referral was always Mr. Zech Smith… Put yourself in my shoes… My conclusion was that Mr. Smith has found another way to cheat…

And here comes Mr. Smith’s explanation… You have below a selection from a message I got from Mr. Smith after my previous post. The message is longer than that, and I have selected only the part where Mr. Smith explains his behaviour. Here it is:

It’s as simple as Joe offered to scout out the giveaways for me, and for his trouble, I agreed to sign up in them under him.

He also agreed that I could go ahead and publish his results on my sortable JV Giveaways Open page with my signup links.

I keep trying to tell him he should get his own list going, but he’s just not ready. He keeps saying he’d rather try getting more clients like me to sign up in the giveaways under him. And who am I to say, maybe he’ll do better that way?

Joe is a good friend and colleague of mine, and we work out of the same office. We are all independents here, but we share the same Internet connection, which is provided by our Landlord, as part of our office space commitment. Saves us all a ton of money, rather than each of us having our own independent high speed access.

That’s why we have the same IP address. And that’s why I always sign up under Joe. Joe himself doesn’t particularly want to build his own list just yet, so he doesn’t do much in the giveaways, per se. But he provides a great service to me by scouting out the giveaways for me and letting me know which are the best ones to enter.

Joe deserves his pay. He works for it, and neither you nor I, nor anyone else should try to ace him out of it, hmm?

Note: Joe = Mr. V = Mr. Joseph Vanderpool I told you before…

Is this story true or not? I’ll let you be the judge of that…

I rest my case. For me, this case is closed once and forever.

May all of you have a nice day!

Giveaway Cheater Exposed: Top Internet Marketer Cheating And Stealing Commissions

Recently I have discovered that one of the top referrers that you can find in (almost) all giveaway events (usually on the top 5 referrers) is cheating and stealing commissions from other honest marketers…

To be honest, this was not a surprise for me. Back in 2008 I have caught the same person cheating… Last year I had several giveaway events set up using the Giveaway Manager 2 script… As you may know, when a giveaway event set up with this script opens for regular members sign-up, all the visitors of the contributors sign-up page are automatically redirected to the members sign-up page, so nobody can sign-up as a contributor anymore…

I don’t know how, but this cheater managed to get people to sign-up as contributors AFTER the event started to accept members, and due to this fact he increased the ranking of his gift (an affiliate usually gets more ranking points for bringging in contributors)…

I have banned him on one of my past events and accepted him back only after he promised that will be a good boy and will not use his cheating system again (at least on my sites)…

A few days ago I have discovered that this person has found another way to cheat: stealing commissions… I have discovered that when he was stealing my commissions for The Apprentice Giveaway

When a new event is announced, a lot of marketers are sending out promotional messages… Usually, I open the first message that gets my attention, click the link inside that message, sign up, upgrade (or not), etc,…

Well, our cheater has a different approach… But first, for better understanding, let’s give him a name: I’ll call him Mr. Z

The cheating technique is very simple:

Mr. Z is not signing up directly through the affiliate link of his referrer…

First he uses a phoney name: let’s call this one Mr. V… He signs up as Mr. V, skips the OTO(s), and grabs the affiliate link…

After that, he signs up as Mr. Z using Mr. V’s affiliate link, pays for the upgrade, and starts promoting his new affiliate link…

This works very well with the giveaway sites using Giveaway Manager 2 and the sites using Ultimate JV Giveaway Script if the instant affiliate payments are not enabled and all the commissions are paid usually at the end of that event, through a mass payment…

So the referrer gets no commissions and Mr. V gets the commissions instead…

Also, Mr. V has the nasty habit to sign up for new giveaways through my affiliate link… He  really loves me, doesn’t he? This way, Mr. Z have stolen my commissions for his sign up for The Apprentice Giveaway and for many other past events…

I have checked my stats for all my past events and I have no doubt about what I am talking here… But there is more: as you know, all decent autoresponder sites are capturing the IP address of the subscriber… I have checked my autoresponder accounts for those events and guess what? Mr. Z and Mr. V are sharing the exact same IP address…

I have not the time to check this issue thoroughly, but I have reasons to believe that not all his referral are real persons and not some phoney email addresses…

If you want to know who Mr. V is, go to (almost) any giveaway event and look for a contributor that has 0 member referrals and (usually) only 1(one) contributor referral (upgraded, of course)… Also, Mr. V never submits a gift…

These techniques reminds me of a famous cheater, exposed last year: Michael Pinder, aka Daniel Armstrong, aka a big list of phoney names, too long to put it here… I have no proof for what I’m about to tell you, but I think that Mr. Z, aka Mr. V is in fact Michael Pinder, aka Daniel Armstrong aka whatever-you-want-to-call-him… But, like I’ve just said, I have no proof for that and this is strictly my opinion and MUST NOT be taken as a real fact…

Due to this fact, I will not publicly expose this cheater’s name, but all the well know giveaway events owners are invited to contact me for details…

Also, I will allow Mr. Z / Mr. V to reply and defend himself BEFORE deleting his accounts on the 2 giveaway events of mine that are still opened… Just to be fair….

Finally, I am inviting all of you comment below… BTW, I have the "Do Follow" plugin activated on this blog and I will approve all decent comments… One restriction applies: If you can guess who Mr. Z / Mr. V is, don’t reveal that on your comment…

A Whole Bunch Of New Events You Can Join And Build Your List

Since my last post, a whole bunch of jv giveaway events have started…

There are a lot of giveaway events running these days, but here you will find only the most important events…

Our fellow marketers have decided to keep us busy, at least a couple of events are starting on a daily basis…

Well, guys, does the word "summer" mean something to you? Does the word "vacation" ring any bell? Apparently not…

That’s why I have decided to join and promote a limited number of events, the ones which really matter….

But let’s get back to business…

The first event I want to tell you about is hosted by one of my subscribers, Ammar Zahar. The event is called Ammar Zahar’s Rush Giveaway. Ammar has done a great job: very nice graphics and a little referral contest… To join his event, just click on the banner below:

The next event is hosted by the "Giveaway Master", Scott Case. He Launched yesterday The Smashing Summer Giveaway. You can join here:

The next one is a reminder: My friend Joe Anderson, a well known marketer, has set up a jv giveaway event dedicated to a patriotic celebration: Independence Day Giveaway Event. This is your invitation to join the "Independence Day Giveaway Event" as a JV Partner/Gift Contributor:

Finally, a new event hosted by another friend of mine, Robert Mesa. This is something like "Power To The People" applied to giveaway marketing: the event is called The Peoples JV Giveaway and the most important thing is that the UPGRADED contributors get 100% commissions. You can join it below:
